    Hi! I noticed the Moz DA en the Ahrefs DA are very different. Where https://www.123opzeggen.nl/ has a DA of 10 at MOZ, the DA at Ahrefs is 26. Where does this big difference come from? Do you measure in different ways? I hope you can answer this question for me. Thank you in advance!

    If you're an in-house marketing person, almost by definition, you're neither a specialist or expert in the variety of things one might do to improve SEO. We do a bunch of stuff in-house and hire people for other stuff that needs to be done and the work is never complete! What do you do, as the de facto in-house, on-staff "expert" for SEO? I'm purposely leaving this question fairly open-ended to solicit advise, ideas & direction to develop a framework and a guide for our efforts. Also, I'm not intentionally ruling out pro's...I'm open to your opinions too - but I will probably only hire you unless you have a full tool bag of skills that include the ability to write auto-responders, write & blog relevant content, set up and monitor page rank, do SEO, set up AdWords campaigns, etc. at a the nice price. And I'll only do that if I can't do/learn/achieve all of the above to a certain degree on my own. Although I'll probably never stop questioning processes, costs and everything else associated with hiring a pro...all of which will make me a pain-in-the-butt client you probably don't want. Thanks!

    Hi Moz, We would like to setup Moz to run on our Staging Server. This would be extremely valuable as it alerts us to new SEO issues/risks in a controlled and secure environment that is not exposed to production. Our internal team has recommended potentially setting up a reverse proxy server that will validate either via Moz's/Rogerbot's http header or IP and allow Moz access to our Staging environment to crawl. Is this something that we can setup with Moz? Are there other ideas to enable Moz to crawl our Staging server?

    I track home page Page Authority and Domain Authority. Normally they move in a similar fashion. However for at least one client I see them moving in markedly opposite directions. One client has seen their Home page PA increase from 29 to 33 ov er the past year or so while their DA is dropped from 22 to 16. Potentially related are odd trends in home page inbound link counts and linking domains. Moz reported 241 inbound link to the home page last December, and 324 now. For the months April through July, however, Moz reported link counts between 1150 and 1350. Linking domains improved from 120 last December to 324 now. I of course recognize that raw counts of links and linking domains need to be tempered with quality considerations. But still, I'm finding is puzzling and wondering if anyone has any thoughts about why the Page Authority and Domain Authority would be diverging.. B8W2wuB

    I've decided that the duplicate content issues on my site weren't worth the effort from the amount of traffic the archive pages on my WordPress site received no I decided to no-index them using Yoast. Now I have 60 meta no-index crawler warnings. Should I just ignore these? It seems I get warnings, either way, I use the site. Does anyone have advice on how to move on with this?

    We have repeated issues with one of our ecommerce sites not being crawled. We receive the following message: Our crawler was not able to access the robots.txt file on your site. This often occurs because of a server error from the robots.txt. Although this may have been caused by a temporary outage, we recommend making sure your robots.txt file is accessible and that your network and server are working correctly. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Read our troubleshooting guide. Are you aware of an issue with robots.txt on the Shopify servers? It is happening at least twice a month so it is quite an issue.

    Hi Team, I see that the Domain Authority for our web domain (www.se.com) remains unchanged since last 6-7 months.Even though we have been putting in focus on Link building, Cleaning our association with Toxic links, build internal links, and updating internal content. Also i see that the sitiuation remains same for many of the Cometitor websites like ww.siemens.com, www.ge.com, www.rockwellautomation.com with unchanged DA since last several months. Can you please confirm the frequency of DA updates and is there been some issues with the Algorithm. Regards Bhaskaran.

    There are a few techniques you can use to spread out and get your content out there.
    1. Email bloggers and tell them about your content
    2. Share it on bookmarking sites (like Reddit)
    3. Contact influential Twitter and Facebook profiles about it
    4. Make it easy for visitors to share your infographic with an embed code at the bottom
    5. Share it on infographic websites (like https://www.prizebondtime.com)
    6. Share it with your email subscribers (if you have an email subscriber list)
    7. Post it on your blog, Facebook page, Twitter, etc. Basically everywhere. The name of the game here is to get your content out in front of as many eyeballs you can as possible. Then after that, it's up to how good your content is to begin the viral loop.

    Hi guys, We're trying to block Rogerbot from spending 8000-9000 of our 10000 pages per week for our site crawl on our zillions of PhotoGallery.asp pages. Unfortunately our e-commerce CMS isn't tremendously flexible so the only way we believe we can block rogerbot is in our robots.txt file. Rogerbot keeps crawling all these PhotoGallery.asp pages so it's making our crawl diagnostics really useless. I've contacted the SEOMoz support staff and they claim the problem is on our side.     example : https://www.livedigm.com Site's robots.txt settings are good. and I think there's no blocking factor. But On Page Grader cannot crawl the sites.
    But campaign crawler is working well on the site. only On Page Grader is not working.. What should I change my server's setting or site's setting for crawling site on my site?
    I'm using wordpress on cloudways / Digitalocean(singapore) server. Thank you.

    Hi, When i run a scan for inbound links for the domain denverhongkongcafe.com/.  One of the inbound links does not have the website denverhongkongcafe.com on its page. I viewed the source code and couldnt't find anything. But denverhongkongcafe.com links to that "inbound" link. Just to summarize everything. This link https://www.beyondmenu.com/40371/denver/hong-kong-cafe-denver-80014.aspx?r=40371 is an inbound link but does not have  denverhongkongcafe.com anywhere in the site. But when i go to denverhongkongcafe.com it goes to https://www.beyondmenu.com/40371/denver/hong-kong-cafe-denver-80014.aspx?r=40371 . I am not sure how https://www.beyondmenu.com/40371/denver/hong-kong-cafe-denver-80014.aspx?r=40371 is an inbound link?

    Hi everyone,  Moz Community, I asking a question here so kind of excited to be part of the community. I hired an SEO firm about three months ago.  They have arranged high ranking DA guest posts for my website Bagcottage as well as many other small low DA links.  None of these links have any kind of a spam score. However, for the past two months, they have been helping, our website's DA has actually dropped by one point each month. Is this cause for concern?  Any thoughts on how I can trace the drop? On a side-note, out of the 700+ keywords that didn't were ranking in the top 50, about 200 of them now are gone compared to last month.  I don't know if this is related or not, but something looks awry.     I checked my MOZ account last week to find that my site's Mobile Search Visibility has dropped pretty significantly 4 weeks after an algorithm update.  It has ticked back up some but after weeks and weeks of steady position, it fell. I thought the latest update had affected the visibility but I'm not sure that is the case. One of our competitors ironically jumped UP in Mobile Visibility about as equally as my site has fallen.  I've attached a screenshot of the MSV graph. My site is plotted in BLUE and our competition is plotted in PURPLE. Does anyone have a  explanation or potential reason? 6hsAuD.jpg

    I am working with a company who has created a reservation software...We have been advertising this software aggressively and have been doing well with companies coming on board...Let's call the company ABC and the url was ABC.com...Now they are launching a customer facing side of things that will have all the clients listed for consumers to book at their location...So an online marketplace...Like VRBO or AirBnB...They are taking the name of the software company and making it the url for the marketplace site...So now the marketplace is ABC.com and we need to figure out if we go with a new site for the software side or if we use subdomains or a subfolder.... Do we go with ABCSoftware.com - New root domain ABC.software.com - Subdomain ABC.com/software - Subfolder There are a few other intricacies with this...Not all the companies that use the software will be on the marketplace side...And people who book through the company but using the software have a url embedded on their site that books there directly...This booking costs the company less than a booking that comes through the marketplace so this needs to be kept separate... Rather than creating a keyword with a specific location for each client (pool builder san francisco), would it be more effective to use only "pool builder" as the keyword and then set the location for the San Francisco area?     We are having some issues flag up through our MOZ software on multiple pages on www.ukpods.co.uk website such as missing content, missing metatags, missing title, duplicate content, Missing/Invalid H1 but having checked and spoken to our website developer all the content is there. 1 page as an example is https://ukpods.co.uk/pods-storage/decluttering/ It says the below items are missing or invalid but you cna see they are all there in the below - are they not being picked up and read for any reason?     In the Organic Traffic Data Report I receive always the same message: "It appears there's a problem with our connection to your Google Analytics account. Please go to your Settings page to update your connection." In the settings I've choosen the correct Google Analytics Account with the correct profile. Thanks for any hints. Is it because using www. in the GA Profil but *.xyz.ch without www in the campaigns settings?

    Hi guys, I've been handed a client who needs some seo work. I've tweaked one of their pages to focus on a chosen keywords about 4 months back but still the site is not even visible using the new Domain Analysis tool from moz and it still won't rank at all for the keywords. Am I missing something here? Is there something blocking the SERP from listing the website? I've ran a site: search on Google and it returns 283 results on the website. However, if I check the links on my Google Search Console, it is over 1500. So what is the problem?     I guess the question is in the subject. We have a client that wishes to buy a domain and use it to replace the primary URL on their website. Although the domain is currently not in use, it was back in 2002 until about 2010. We're concerned that this could cause issues if we change the name over and the domain itself has had penalties in the past

    Hi, I came across multiple websites where blog articles are split into multiple pages and once you reach the end of the page, you need to click 'Next' or '2/3' to continue reading. Is this a good practice? I understand you keep clicking through multiple pages instead of reading an article only on one page, but you also split the strength of the targeted keyword between multiple pages.     Hi Moz community, Our website is nearing the end of a big redesign to be mobile-responsive. We decided to delay any major changes to text content so that if we do suffer a rankings drop upon launch, we'll have some ability to isolate the cause. In the meantime I'm analyzing our current SEO strengths and weaknesses. There is a huge discrepancy between our rankings and our inbound link profile. Specifically, we do great on most of our targeted keywords and in fact had a decent surge in recent months. But Link Profiler turned up hundreds of pages of inbound links from spammy domains, many of which don't even display a webpage when I click there. (shown in uploaded image) "Don't fix it if it's not broken" is conflicting with my natural repulsion to these sorts of referrals. Assuming we don't suffer a rankings drop from the redesign, how much of a priority should this be? There are too many and most are too spammy to contact the webmasters, so we'll need to do it through a Disavow. I couldn't even open the one at the top of the list because our business web proxy identified it as adult content. It seems like a common conception is that if Google hasn't penalized us for it yet, they will eventually. Are we talking about the algorithm just stumbling upon these links and hurting us or would this be something we would find in Manual Actions? (or both?) How long after the launch should we wait before attacking these bad links? Is there a certain spam score that you'd say is a threshold for "Yes, definitely get rid of it"? And when we do, should we Disavow domains one domain at a time to monitor any potential drops or all at once? (this seems kind of obvious but if the spam score and domain authority alone is enough of a signal that it won't hurt us, we'd rather get it done asap) How important is this compared to creating fresh new content on all the product pages? Each one will have new images as well as product reviews, but the product descriptions will be the same ones we've had up for years.  I have new content written but it's delayed pending any fallout from the redesign.     Hey experts, I hope you are doing great, kindly have a look at this page, my keyword for this page is "Sports Streaming Sites". The text has a length of 5344 words and I'm using my keyword in this post as follow: 1. Text Body: 12 times(including headers)
    2. Alt tags: 10 times (20+ Images)
    3. Title: 1 Time
    4. Description: 1 Time
    5. Permalink: 1 Time This is a total of 25 times in 5344 words, but when I check this page with moz on-page grader, it shows that I'm using this keyword 40 times and its stuffed, can anybody please explain it to me, I'm so confused and it'll be so nice of you.
