  • The FAQ’s We hope we can help! Below are the trending issues at the moment. If you don’t see your question addressed or need further help, send us a message at http://moz.com/help/contact. Our Help Team gumshoes will investigate your issue and respond shortly. Where did my Campaigns Go?
Whenever your account is suspended, your campaigns are archived. The good news is that reviving archived accounts is really simple. Go to your Campaigns section: http://pro.moz.com/campaigns
At the top of the page there is a "Archived Campaigns" Tab, give it a click.
From here, you should easily be able to "activate" your campaigns. My Google Analytics profile won’t stay connected to my campaign and/or I am missing profiles in my GA Settings. Google goes through a process called Oauth when it comes to authorizing access of services that are linked to your Google account. Under any single Google account, there are about 20 tokens account wide. Those tokens are used to provide access for a variety of services from Gmail to apps on your phone. Once you hit the limit, which is 20 for most users, the system automatically revokes the oldest token to provide a new one. I'm not certain if this is causing the issue on your account, but it is a great place to start troubleshooting. You may be able to correct the issue by manually revoking your tokens to make room for new ones on your account and then reconnecting the account to Moz. Here are the instructions on how to do that: Follow this link https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens. This page displays the current OAuth tokens you are using. Once you reach the page, simply press the revoke button (illustrated on this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/vjh3KrjRRIe) for services that you are not using right now. Once you are done with, that simply go back to your campaign settings, disconnect your GA profile and reconnect. The below process may also fix this issue for you. Head to your campaign settings page on your overview page. Disconnect your Google Analytics connection. Go back to your settings page and click on "connect account."  Please make sure you log into the correct GA account. 🙂 Hurray!  This should let you grab the most current traffic data! Oops! try refreshing page! I can’t access any of my Campaign data.
This issue is normally machine specific and can be a bit complex. An individual forum has been created to address this: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/28203486-Oops-Try-Refreshing-the-Page-Error-showing-on-all-pages- Unable to retrieve historical ranking CSVs. Some users did not receive their requested Historical Rankings CSVs. This has mostly been affected by a change or update to your competitors after a campaign has been setup for a while. Please send your request to retrieve this data with http://moz.com/help/contact.

  • I just subscribed to the 30 days trial and wanted to set up my first campaign, but it just doesn't work. I name the campaign, enter the URL and click Next >>. The page starts processing but even after 5 minutes waiting time, nothing happens. I just don't get through to the 2nd step. I already tried setting it up in Firefox, Chrome and Opera. It just won't work. 😕

  • I see that in MOZ Pro I can change my account settings for billing (very helpful account settings video).
However, I am interested to know if I sign up for yearly billing if I can switch back to monthly billing. Thank you in advanced for your clarification.
Looking forward to being a MOZ Pro user again soon.

  • We recently launched (9/13/2013) an e-commerce Website and added the campaign to SEO MOZ.  Week after week the Domain Rank is 1 and none of our keyword stats or link stats are populated.  We have another Moz campaign that posts weekly updates and is doing extremely well.  I'm just wondering how long it usually takes Moz to start populating all the analysis stats?  I'm also wondering if there might be a campaign setting buried somewhere that I need to enable or maybe it just takes more than 5 weeks?  Any insights would be much appreciated.  Here's the new URL we need to track with MOZ:  http://www.imsportshq.com

  • I use several analytics apps on my iphone which require you to connect to your GA account. Each one gets immediate access to the GA data. With Moz, I connected to my GA account 3 days ago after many failed attempts due to some bug, but still have no data showing. Is there some reason why Moz would take several days to access the data where iphone apps take seconds? I am now a week into my 30 day free trial, and have spent lots of time trying to get it to work, but have not been able to do much. I'm afraid of how much of the 30 days will be taken up just getting Moz set up and working, rather than actually using and evaluating what it does. Any possibility of re-starting the 30 days from when it's actually working? I don't mind waiting patiently for some bugs to be fixed, just would like to know that I will still get a 30 day trial. Thanks.

  • Hi Support,We are new to SEOMOZ and would appreciate if you can answer the following:1. Can we build our own Hubspot right to our own website where members can access and see how their sites are performing using your API? If that is possible, do you have tips/suggestions on how?2. What is a crawl limit? How does that work?3. How many sites can we work on under the developers - professional license ?Looking forward to your responses. Thanks,Tony

  • Is it possible to get Moz to do a crawl report on a domain blocked by robots.txt and actually display all errors instead of only one saying the domain was blocket in robots.txt? Anything i can add to robots.txt to make moz able to do the crawl report but still hinder google from crawling a staging domain?

  • I just upgraded to the next tier (2nd level) to gain access to the branded reports, but I cannot locate this option anywhere at all? Can you help me locate it by any chance? The http://pro.moz.com/campaigns link does not have any accessible global settings…and the http://analytics.moz.com/manage-campaigns link now refers to the new analytics which does not contain any branded reports options. I must be missing something…

  • I have a few websites on my Moz Analytics account but only have data for one of them. All my other accounts keepy saying come back in 24hrs for more data, although there is no data available. Do I need to connect each account with Google Analytics before Moz populates its own analytics?

  • Hi, I've waited a few days for data to appear in the account but all of the keywords show 'not in top 50'. When I know this isn't the case since I can see half of them myself either on page one or two (yes I have cleared cache / history and have tried an incognito window to see the results for myself; I have even tried another PC. Also I'm really not keen on the new layout of the pro account, everything is so much smaller event the text. Personally I think it doesn't look half as clean and simple as it used to. Another thing, the link analysis tab isn't showing all of my links - it's only showing 2! Which is way off, even when I check with Open Site Explorer there are a lot more than that. Thanks Ricky

  • I am coming from SERPIQ and Raventools and they both seem to have something that Moz Analytics does not have. I can type in a keyword in either of them and it will deliver up relevant keywords and the search volume for them. Also I can enter a url and get all the keywords that a page is ranking for. Are these just things that are missing from Moz Analytics or am I missing something? They are both really important features to me.

  • 1- Can we force the system to recrawl a website without having to wait for the scheduled date? 2- Please forgive me as I am new to this, but is "Moz Analytics" supposed to replace the "Pro"? Thank you!

  • Everything in my Moz Analytics campaign is empty. Shows either "-" or "0". How long does it take for some data to appear? 3 days ago I have set up the Campaign, connected Google Analytics, Set up keywords, etc. Every day I receive 4 copies of same identical email from Moz, "New Crawl Complete for ..." I go to moz analytics and nothing has changed. Still zeroes and no data. So Moz Analytics doesn't do anything, doesn't show any stats, sends multiple bogus emails. Looks like moz analytics is totally broken? Not even beta quality. Yet to sign up I had to provide my credit card.

  • Hi, we are using expressionengine as our CMS. Every url that gets tracked, which does not lead to a real page, gets directed to the home page. This gives us a lot of duplicate content. For every wrong link, we get +1 in duplicate content. Is there a way to list the false urls, so Moz does not use them anymore in the statistics, or that Google does not crawl them anymore? Where would be the best place to do this? All help appreciated,
    Michel

  • In reviewing my Moz warnings report, one page is appearing multiple times because the title is longer than recommended.  Is this a bug in Moz? The page is appearing with a number of different URLs, despite there being a rel="canonical" tag. The page's canonical URL is: http://betablog.org/wishing-and-hoping-and-praying/ And in the warnings report I'm seeing variations like this: http://betablog.org/wishing-and-hoping-and-praying/?replytocom=26539 which are clearly links from the comments section.

  • I had a Moz account earlier this year, let it drop for a few months, then decided it really was important to have one. So I'm back. But there is still something about it that I really find frustrating. I can't seem to find any answers to what seem to be basic questions. Maybe they are too simple, maybe they are just dumb questions, but I sure would appreciate it if somebody could lead me to another source of information. Maybe somebody has written a "Moz for Dummies" book? Here's an example: I'm setting up campaigns for my websites, and I get to the Brand and Mentions section. It tries to autofill the space using my campaign name, but that's not accurate. So I go look at the Help Hub for Brands and Mentions, and it gives an example using MOZ as the brand name. But not many sites have a three-letter domain name, do they?. One of my domains is EasyDigging.com (2 words) and the other is BestDryingRack.com (3 words). So I look and look, but can't find any examples of longer domain names. So I have no idea how to enter my Brand. Should it be the whole "EasyDigging.com" or should it just be "EasyDIgging" or should it be broke up into "Easy Digging"? This is just 1 example. I find these sort of unanswered questions almost every time I try something new. Is there a collection of examples anywhere? I really hope so. Surely there are others who learn best from examples, who hate having to guess based on slim or vague instructions. Keeping my fingers crossed that somebody can lead me to the goldmine of good examples. Thanks!

  • Keyword research is elusive thing. Sort of like Bigfoot. Well… not really. Rand actually does an excellent job explaining how to get started in his Moz Academy lesson on Keyword Research. Check that link out! I want to get the same type of conversation started on Q&A. I'll let everyone know how I’ve learned to do KW research. Please let me know how you do it!!!!! The first thing you’ll want to do is create a list of keywords you feel like your brand should target. I would start with what you offer, your brand, and how you want people to find you. Brand – Obviously you want to rank for your brand. First thing you want to do is see how people are searching for you brand. Use Ubersuggest for this. This tool will give a huge list of ways Google is suggesting results to people. Take that list and look at one’s that relate to your service, product, or content and save them in a spreadsheet. This will let you start tackling longer tail keywords before you focus in on your exact brand. What do you offer? – Think to yourself; how would I find my own service? Let’s say you sell air conditioners. You should check out Wordtracker to get a sense of how many people are searching for “air conditioners.” Then look at the other suggestions Wordtracker gives. These suggestions are usually terms that you want to invest some research into, because people are actually searching for them. A lot of people don’t focus their efforts… They end up using a wide net, which is fine, it’s just hard to measure success and build good quality content around too many terms. Alright! Let’s say you have list ready to go. It’s time to do some competitive research. I’d start with the Keyword Difficulty tool section of Moz Analytics. If you’re new to keyword research you want to try a longer-tail keyword. Something like “air conditioners on sale” instead of just “air conditioners.” When you put a term in the Keyword Difficulty tool you’ll see the top ten people ranking for this term. These are based on Domain Authority and Page Authority. This is great way to size up the competition based on how strong their link profile is! Don’t stop there. If you see some lower authority scores in the top ten, then I’d consider it low hanging fruit. Run a full report now. There’s going to be a lot of information here, but I’d like to focus your attention to the On-page stuff. Check that data out. Look to see how well pages in the top ten are optimized(do they have A, B, C, D, or F grades?). If they’re mostly floating around the B and C grade range; try to optimize an existing page you want to rank for the term or create some new content.On-page in full report When you have a page built drop it in our standalone On-page optimization tool to get a guide on how should use your keyword. You can also use Moz Analytics’ On-page tool to track these grades in combination with your rankings data. Just keep tracking it here! How do you go about KW research and tracking? Let me know if you have any feedback on this process and please detail your own if you have time. I’d love to here what ya’ got. 61iB2ag.jpg

  • I'm tracking a competitor who is very active and also very successful in terms of DA (via MOZ.) However, their domain shows up as "Not in Top 50" for every keyword ranking I track. I've verified via manual tracking of natural results (even with a proxy) that they are competitive with my rankings. It stands to reason that MOZ can track the domain because of the ability to monitor DA successfully. Is there any reason keyword rankings would be "cloaked" or unavailable to the MOZ algorithm when DA metrics are available?

  • I use Mozbar to check for nofollow links on any website. Recently I changed from Chrome to Firefox and it appears that the link highlight function is behaving different on the latter.
On a page with nofollow in the robot.txt links are highlighted both when selecting nofollowed (pink) and followed (green) links. In Chrome it used to highlight only the nofollow links (as is correct in this case) Did anyone notice this behaviour too? Seems like a bug.

  • Ok I've installed a few tools over the past week but I'm pretty sure at one time in MozPro I entered three competitor's domains and a list of KWs and it showed our ranking vs theirs for Google and Bing.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how I did it or how I see the data. Is this going to be in one the reports that comes out every Tuesday (haven't gotten my first one yet)? Sorry for the newbie question.  I've been tearing my hair out, searched the forum real quick and didn't see it.  It's late and I want to wake up and be productive. Thanks all!
