Put a 301 from /main to home page, now I'm panicking

Hi,
Our website is 10 years old, but I only noticed last night we had a https://curveball-media.co.uk/main page which has some badly formatted copy on.
I redirected (301) to the home page https://curveball-media.co.uk/
Then I had a slight panic that maybe this was the wrong thing to do and it should be like it was with the home page and the /main page.
Should I have left it or did I do the right thing?

/main if it was identical or the same copy as the homepage yes you made the right decision by using that 301 redirect
there are no back links to /main the only advice I have is I would've done the redirect via server-side or on a reverse proxy like cloudflare.com method two of three cloud flare method three of three cloud flare

@emilie-martin Thank you! I think my badly worded question was more about whether Wordpress should have a /main page as well as the / home page. If that makes sense?

Domain forwarding or 301 redirects?
I have two domains and one of them is being phased out. Currently, there are some 301 redirects in place for the main pages but I was wondering if it would be better / easier to just set up domain forwarding? Merger & Acquisition Best Practices
Our company (DA 40) recently acquired another company (DA 20). The domain for the acquired company is up, and I am being asked if we should keep paying for the domain. I have a couple of questions regarding this. Is it best practice to continue paying for the older domain and do 301 redirects to our website? If yes, do I have to add 301 redirects for individual matching pages? For example, if the old site has the topic XYZ, should a 301 go to our site if we have a similar page topic XYZ? What about contact pages, about us, etc? Do we redirect all non-matching topics to the new home page? Or in the case of their blogs, do we redirect their blogs to the new blog home page even though we are not keeping their old blogs? What if our company keeps acquiring other companies, are we to assume we have to keep paying for the domains of the acquired companies? Is there anyone out there that would say stop paying for the old domain and just review the company's inbound links, reach out to those sites, and make sure they link to the new site instead? How to get rid of bad backlinks
So I noticed my rankings going down and spam score going up. So under my spam score there are over 100 links for different websites but ALL redirect to semalt.com I researched it and it says they hijacked a bunched of backlinks but don't know much more. How can I get rid of all those backlinks? I was told I could use the disavow tool but apparently that can hurt my ranking as well. The semalt.com site has no backlink to me - it looks like the pages that have/had my backlinks, they've redirected to them. Best Ways to Use Moz to Increase Rankings
Hello, I work for an online retailer and I have been using Moz for a few weeks now but have had limited success so I wanted to ask how I could better spend my time on this platform. I have been focusing heavily on the Page Optimization tool which has allowed me to rank high on the Google Shopping's Free Listings but it seems to have had little to no impact on the Google All search itself over those weeks. Perhaps I'm not utilizing it properly? I tend to focus on relevant keywords with high volume as identified by the Keyword Explorer tool. Alternatively, is there a Moz tool that might be more helpful? Lazy Load Pictures on main page
Hello, our website is https://www.neakriti.gr If you open our page you will see its fast (for its size - we use AKAMAI and caching), but we have a large number of pictures on the main page - that inevitably cost loading time. I believe there could be a dramatic reduction in the time taken to load the pictures if we implemented a lazy load approach for the "below" the fold" content. Would a lazy load approach increase our SEO score on our main page? If yes, how should it be implemented in SEO terms? (I mean so that search engines are able to find the pictures that are not loaded beforehand).

I need to redirection every page of my website to a new url of another site I've made. Domain Authority / Page Authority
I manage a site that has home page authority of 69, and overall domain authority of 63. To improve domain authority, would it help to remove some of the pages that have 0 page authority? There are over 1,000 pages to this site, and I always thought that the more pages you have, the better (generally). But, does it actually hurt the site to have pages that Google perceives as having 0 page authority, or does this have no bearing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
