Moz flagged the following content issues, the page has duplicate content and missing canonical tags.

It's important to choose the best possible canonical URL for duplicate content to ensure that search engines understand which page wants to be the main source of information for that particular content. Google does suggest a canonical version of the URL in the Search Console, but it's important to keep in mind that the suggestion might not always be the best choice for the website, so it's always a good idea to verify and confirm that the suggested canonical URL is indeed the best choice for the site. How to do that?
All of these main categories contain canonicals URL, the only strange looking like is the pageretained support. This is unbelievable I checked the main categories and subcategories all of them have rel=canonicals!? -
It does seem like you have duplicate content.
- You don't want index.php in your link structure (it's useless for SEO)
- You need to set a canonical tag for your primary page and URL structure
- Remove the other instances so there is no duplicate content.

Hello, adding rel=canonical tags to the duplicate pages and specifying which is the preferred URL for search engines is the best solution for the issues with duplicate content and missing canonical tags. In order to prevent penalties for duplicate content, this will let search engines know which version of the content to index. Our company (DA 40) recently acquired another company (DA 20). The domain for the acquired company is up, and I am being asked if we should keep paying for the domain. I have a couple of questions regarding this. Is it best practice to continue paying for the older domain and do 301 redirects to our website? If yes, do I have to add 301 redirects for individual matching pages? For example, if the old site has the topic XYZ, should a 301 go to our site if we have a similar page topic XYZ? What about contact pages, about us, etc? Do we redirect all non-matching topics to the new home page? Or in the case of their blogs, do we redirect their blogs to the new blog home page even though we are not keeping their old blogs? What if our company keeps acquiring other companies, are we to assume we have to keep paying for the domains of the acquired companies? Is there anyone out there that would say stop paying for the old domain and just review the company's inbound links, reach out to those sites, and make sure they link to the new site instead? Duplicate content, although page has "noindex"
Hello, I had an issue with some pages being listed as duplicate content in my weekly Moz report. I've since discussed it with my web dev team and we decided to stop the pages from being crawled. The web dev team added this coding to the pages <meta name='robots' content='max-image-preview:large, noindex dofollow' />, but the Moz report is still reporting the pages as duplicate content. Note from the developer "So as far as I can see we've added robots to prevent the issue but maybe there is some subtle change that's needed here. You could check in Google Search Console to see how its seeing this content or you could ask Moz why they are still reporting this and see if we've missed something?" Any help much appreciated!

my site has 17.5m Total links according to Moz (16.6m internal follow & 840k no follow) i think i have a problem...
We are hosted by visual soft and it is a proprietory platform so we dont have full control of our site.

in comparison, 3 of our main competitors, two of which are way way bigger than us have 1.4m & 4.7m - another one still probably double or perhaps triple our size is @ 2.5m Should i worry?

Duplicate Content Due to Pagination
Recently our newly designed website has been suffering from a rankings loss. While I am sure there are a number of factors involved, I'd like to no if this scenario could be harmful... Google is showing a number of duplicate content issues within Webmaster Tools. Some of what I am seeing is duplicate Meta Titles and Meta Descriptions for page 1 and page 2 of some of my product category pages. So if a category has many products and has 4 pages, it is effectively showing the same page title and meta desc. across all 4 pages. I am wondering if I should let my site show, say 150 products per page to get them all on one page instead of the current 36 per page. I use the Big Commerce platform. Duplicate Content on Multinational Sites?
Hi SEOmozers Tried finding a solution to this all morning but can't, so just going to spell it out and hope someone can help me! Pretty simple, my client has one site www.domain.com. UK-hosted and targeting the UK market. They want to launch www.domain.us, US-hosted and targeting the US market. They don't want to set up a simple redirect because a) the .com is UK-hosted b) there's a number of regional spelling changes that need to be made However, most of the content on domain.com applies to the US market and they want to copy it onto the new website. Are there ways to get around any duplicate content issues that will arise here? Or is the only answer to simply create completely unique content for the new site? Any help much appreciated! Thanks
