Hello, First of all I know that all the links which come from Pinterest are no follow. However about 4 years ago we made a campaign to pinterest for one of the websites we are managing. Although the thing was going well we had to stop it for various reasons. Right now, 4 years later, this thing has grown big without any move for us! All these years our pins, which were great in many aspects, were continuously reppined. This has lead to the point where the Google Search Console is reporting that about 500.000 links are linking to our website from Pinterest. We know how this has helped us or not concerning the actual refferring traffic from Pinterest but our main question, and this where we want the Moz's community help, is how is this helping from a SEO aspect. I'm trying to rank one of my client's Facebook link on Google. It was on page 3, few months back but now It is no where. Open Site Explorer lists them and every so-called SEO expert says social signals/shares are a ranking factor. Everyone but Matt Cutts, it would seem. So if they're not a ranking factor, why show them in Open Site Explorer?

Hello, We want to rank 2nd for this keyword: NLP Training Here's our site: nlpca.com We currently rank near the bottom of the first page. What we have to work with: One top authority person in our field, with a little bit of time to write content, one other top authority person with a little more time, One very skilled employee that has a long history in our field, is not an authority, but writes good blog posts. She writes some of the content, the authorities write the rest. What else we have to work with: We can't really do outreach in this industry as it would be weird to send all of our competitors, which are also our colleagues and friends, link requests. I don't think it would be appropriate to ask people to share or +1 us either. We can produce content, we've added a blog and we're adding a "What is NLP?" Article. We have good video capability. Also, perhaps an infographic would help as a linkable asset, but I don't know what that could be about. Hello, For the site nlpca.com How would you get them to the #2 spot for "NLP" and the #2 spot for "NLP Training" They won't do link building due to reputation in the industry. They're open to Google+ and the +1 button. They are willing to add stellar targeted authoritative content. They're adding a blog and comprehensive "What is NLP?" article. They are a "Top 5" authority in the field. Thanks.

I'm curious to know how much social media effects the chances of being more highly ranked on Google. I appreciate it's important to 'be seen' by Google, but if articles/newsletters are being written, does it really matter if a business isn't using Twitter or Facebook, etc?

Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me if Twitter really does help with your Goolge rankings? If I go to the trouble of setting up a Twitter account for my business will it really help with me getting higher rankings?
