Generally, changes in search algorithms can lead to fluctuations, as search engines reassess and reevaluate various factors. Also if the competitors make significant improvements to their websites or engage in aggressive SEO tactics, it can affect one's ranking position, causing fluctuations. In your case, however, it's been going on for a while and on daily basis, so I have to say I'm puzzled and would like to hear what people here have to say about this.

RE: GA 4 Question
The thing is, in UA, there are two user metrics while in GA4, there are three - New users, Total users, and Active users, with the last one being a primary user metric in GA4. This is the number of distinct users who visited your website; so the users who have an engaged session, or when analytics collects these parameters:
- the first_visit event from a website
- the first_open event from an Android app
- the first_open from an iOS app
I spent some time trying to figure out GA4 and how it's different in terms of Google Analytics affiliate tracking (talking about the software I use). For example, in GA4 there is maximum data retention of 14 months, so there is some data discrepancy between the two. On the bright side, a 7-hour session timeout window is available.

RE: Chat GPT
Chat GPT can help you a lot, but only if you write prompts properly and edit the article manually. Put some effort into instructing this tool in detail, depending on the writing style you want to get as a result. Still, there's a big chance the paragraphs will be starting with the same-pattern sentences and this is something you'll want to pay attention to. You can also use for example Grammarly to check for plagiarism or tools like Originality AI (although this one sometimes detects high-score AI content for articles written with no help of Chat GPT or other AI tools).

RE: Bit.ly backlinks
It's generally recommended to use direct backlinks whenever possible because have the potential to pass the full link authority. Wouldn't recommend using bitly links, to many possible issues.

RE: Best practices for publishing sponsored content
Absolutely. Listing sponsors on your website and through HTML markup is a smart move - it’s great for transparent communication with your readers, and helps demonstrate the ethical integrity of the sponsored content. Including this information on the frontend makes it easier for visitors to quickly identify which articles are sponsored versus those that are not. This allows them to make an informed decision about whether or not they want to read/interact/follow up with the content. It also helps build trust with your audience as you are being honest about who is creating/sponsoring content on your site.

RE: Are topic clusters a good use of time/energy?
@bill-something Topic clustering is a great way to create an interconnected network of content surrounding one topic. You start by selecting a strong seed phrase as the basis and then look for long-tail variations related to it that will help your website rank well with search engines and attract readers. After determining your keyword foundation, craft a cornerstone article – think of this as the mission statement from which other pieces stem. Since these articles act like hubs for all others connected within the cluster, be sure they're longer than most blog posts; 1,500 words or more should do just fine. Once this is complete, it's time to create supplementary materials that will help your core goals. When writing this content remember to keep things concise (700 words or less) - as well as include graphics/images and external quotes for added credibility. Internal links too – they're an essential part of creating a strong anchor structure further down the line. Just some practical tips. So, yes, you do understand the concept, and yes, it is worth it, in my opinion. I can't say it's easy to get it right though, so good luck!

RE: Is this site speed improvement legit?
@mfrgolfgti Honestly, I've never heard that only by uploading a new theme you can achieve such a result. I am curious now and would really like to hear from someone who's experienced with Shopify sites.
